Welcome to Sunflower Cake Company. Based in Colchester, Essex, Sunflower Cake Company creates bespoke cakes to make your special event complete – whatever the occasion. From celebration cakes and novelty cakes to cupcakes, mini cakes, cake pops and cookies, the cakes not only look good but taste delicious too.

The cakes are designed and made by me – I am Jenny and I have been making cakes for friends and family for more than a decade. I am a member of the British Sugarcraft Guild, I have a Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering and Sunflower Cake Company has a 5-star ranking for hygiene.

The Cakes

So what about the cakes? All are made using fresh, good quality ingredients. The most popular flavours are vanilla sponge, chocolate, lemon, coffee, carrot, red velvet, salted caramel and rich fruit but if you have a another favourite flavour then please let me know.

Then there’s the icing – buttercream, fondant, ganache, cream cheese frosting … vanilla, white and dark chocolate, lemon, coffee … And all the decorations are handmade and include figures and flowers made from fondant, flower paste and chocolate.

I also cater for special dietary requirements so whatever your cake needs, get in touch and we can discuss your choice of cake, flavour and ingredients. All flavours are available for all types of cake, except fruit cake which isn’t suitable for cupcakes, cake pops or novelty (shaped) cakes.
