The football cake is one of my most popular. This particular one was made from vanilla sponge divided into four layers and sandwiched with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam. It is covered with white fondant icing and black fondant pentagons and then decorated with its fondant icing scarf. All football team scarves available – I’ll put my own allegiances aside! An alternative to this if you’d like a smaller cake is a half football design draped in a scarf.
